The original Ska Girl, or Beat Girl as she is more properly known, was drawn by Hunt Emerson for the artwork of The [English] Beat's debut album 'I Just Can't Stop It'. Hunt Emerson based the Beat Girl on a photo from the late '60s of a young lady shaking some action with the legendary ska maestro Prince Buster. I have tried to keep my renditions of Ska Girl as close as possible to those images of the Beat Girl created by Hunt Emerson.
